Xinying Valerian

Xinying Valerian is the founder of a social justice law firm based in the Bay Area. Ms. Valerian represents ordinary people who seek justice. She advocates for employees and whistleblowers in cases involving discrimination, retaliation, wage theft, pay equity, and civil rights. She is experienced in state and federal courts, arbitrations, negotiations, and mediations. She listens to her clients and develops a client-centric collaboration while fighting hard when dealing with employers and their lawyers inside and outside of court. Ms. Valerian is a first-generation immigrant from China and grew up in the Bay Area attending public schools. She is bilingual and bicultural. Having experienced the struggles common to immigrants and women of color, she is committed to fighting for equal opportunity, pay equity, and fair treatment for everyone in the workplace and marketplace. Ms. Valerian graduated with high honors from Harvard University and New York University School of Law. After law school, she clerked for two years for the Honorable A. Howard Matz in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
