William Kampf

For over 18 years, William Kampf practiced law as a litigator focusing on all aspects of employment law in California. After graduating from law school in 2001, Mr. Kampf worked in Orange County and Los Angeles for two nationally recognized labor and employment law firms, where he represented many Fortune 1000 companies. Mr. Kampf also worked for a boutique Los Angeles law firm where he represented small and medium sized companies, as well as numerous individuals and entrepreneurs. In Mr. Kampf subsequently became a sole practitioner and focused on representing individual employees while working as co-counsel with several other plaintiffs’ attorneys. In his litigation practice, Mr. Kampf gained extensive experience representing his clients in court, arbitration, and before state and federal administrative agencies, including the EEOC, DFEH, and DLSE. He handled a wide range of employment law disputes involving issues of wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, and wage and hour claims (both individual claims and class actions). As a litigator, Mr. Kampf often found that he played the role of peacemaker between the parties, whether he represented corporations or individuals. Often times, disputes between employers and employees developed due to miscommunications. Mr. Kampf recognized these issues and explored a resolution that worked for all parties. In an effort to bolster his negotiation skills, Mr. Kampf participated in mediation training with the LA County Bar Association. He then trained as a mediator with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), where he continues to practice as an external mediator. In 2020, Mr. Kampf decided to put his negotiation skills to work and he became a private mediator.
