William Flynn

I have more than twenty five years experience counseling owners, executives and employees across a broad range of business operations and commercial dispute resolution. I have particular extensive experience advising, defending and representing individual investors and shareholders, brokers, advisers and other financial service professionals, as well as other parties involved in fraud and fiduciary claims and other related investment matter. My extensive litigation experience in state and federal courts nationwide, includes prosecuting and defending individual and class claims under state and federal securities laws, general corporate and business law, including corporate governance, shareholder derivative and other fiduciary duty issues, disputes and investigations involving the financial services industry, and general commercial law issues. I am a member of the law firm's board directors, co-chair of the litigation dept., lead the financial services dispute group and earned the Martindale Hubble AV® Preeminent independendent peer review rating. I am licensed to practice in Ohio and Kentucky, the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and various federal district courts. I am a member of the Ohio, Kentucky, and Cincinnati Bar Associations and as a charter member of the Public Investor Arbitration Bar Association, a national association of attorneys dedicated to advancing investor rights, I have recovered millions of dollars in various courts and arbitration venues on behalf of aggrieved investors. I graduated from of the University of Cincinnati Taft College of Law (1985), where I won the National Administrative Law Moot Court competition, and from Miami University (1985), where I was a member of the Student Foundation and political science honorary. I live with my wife Beth and our three children live in Columbia Township Ohio, where I am vice-president of the award winning Mariemont City Schools Board of Education. Specialties: Certain states, including Kentucky, do not certify specialties of legal practice. Other states, including Ohio, do not permit recognition as a specialist in any area of law, except for patent, trademark or admiralty. Subject to those limitations, my practice is concentrated in business and commercial related litigation, including financial services abuse, investment and securities fraud claims, and violations of fiduciary duties, officer and director liability and corporate goverance matters.
