About William Fishbein
My practice spans across a broad range of legal disciplines including business services, complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, real estate, and the First Amendment. I have tried numerous complex matters in state and federal court and regularly represent clients in complex bankruptcy proceedings, acquisitions, real estate transactions, loan transactions, and other business matters throughout the country. I also represent clients in cross-border and other international transactions. I act as general counsel to a broad range of clients, providing legal advice on a variety of business topics. I also counsel clients on how best to structure joint ventures and other related matters. I also regularly represent clients regarding the acquisition, re-development, financing, sale and operation of all types of senior housing facilities. I have been recognized as Lawyer of the Year in the Hartford Region by Best Lawyers ten times in different disciplines. In 2018, I was selected by Best Lawyers as the Lawyer of the Year (Hartford region) for Bet-the-Company Litigation. I have previously been recognized by Best Lawyers as Lawyer of the Year (Hartford region) in 2015-2017 for Litigation – Bankruptcy and Lawyer of the Year (Hartford region) in 2011 for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights. I also am a Fellow in The Trial Lawyer Honorary Society of the Litigation Counsel of America. I have completed an Ironman Triathlon, multiple marathons and the Trans-Alp Cycling Race that crossed the Alps from Germany to Italy over seven days.
