William Ehrke

Effective April 1, 2023, Bill will be retiring from the active litigation litigation practice at the firm and enter an Of Counsel role. In that role, he will focus on consultation in pre-litigation matters and anticipates starting to serve as a mediator on June 1,2023. He plans on drawing from his 42 years of litigation experience including numerous jury trials and 5 trips to the Wisconsin Supreme Court with reported decisions. He will also offer oversight and guidance on certain selective ongoing cases.Bill is a 1978 Graduate of Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and attended DePaul University Law School, receiving his J.D. in 1981. He has maintained an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbel, and has practiced in the defense of civil litigation cases relating to insurance and corporate defense, including the representation of corporate, insurance and municipal entities, in matters relating to personal injury, employment, insurance coverage and bad faith, wrongful repossessions, and related debtor/creditor law.He has tried jury cases in State and Federal Courts as well as various administrative agencies such as the Wisconsin Equal Rights division, Madison Equal Opportunities Commission, the EEOC and the Wisconsin Work Comp Division.He remains licensed to practice in State and Federal Courts in Wisconsin and Illinois, as well as the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
