Whitney Davis

Whit Davis is a trial lawyer admitted to practice law in Texas and California for 33 years. Whit is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Since 2005, Mr. Davis has been awarded the rating of “AV-Preeminent” by Martindale Hubbell, and has also maintained "SuperLawyer" status since that time. His early years involved defending product liability and environmental suits. In 2000, Mr. Davis founded a firm that represented Fortune 500 clients in business litigation and product matters across the United States and abroad. His personal injury practice focused on burn, death and spinal cord injury cases. Davis' plaintiff and defense matters usually involve more than $15 million. Plaintiff highlights include record verdicts exceeding $15 million in paralysis matters, trucking collisions, a $540 million bankruptcy fraud matter taken to the U.S. Supreme Court, a successful $745 million estate battle for a Hollywood heiress, a contract arbitration recovery of $11.7 million in damages and a $22 million contract award for an aerospace parts manufacturer. His defense record of more than 700 successful summary judgments also include recent trial wins of a $110 million multi-state trade secret, trademark and unfair competition matter which resulted in dismissal of one matter and a judgment of only $1 in a second matter. He serves as lead plaintiff counsel in product defect matters brought against Starbucks. Davis merged his firm with a DFW firm in 2021. Davis also serves as outside general counsel to an international engineering and manufacturing company, an international security company and IP counsel to a manufacturing concern in Shenzhen, China. Davis' Texas practice involves complex business litigation, trade secret litigation, First and Second Amendment matters, insurance coverage, manufacturing, IP and agricultural matters.
