Virginia Blumenthal

Virginia Blumenthal is the founding partner of Blumenthal Law Offices, a Riverside-based legal practice devoted exclusively to the defense of the accused. Her years of work in the courtroom have earned national recognition. The National Trial Lawyers recently named Virginia Blumenthal one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers in the United States, and U.S. News and World Report has listed Blumenthal Law Offices as a Top Ranking Law Firm in the nation. Ms. Blumenthal has been selected by her peers again this year for inclusion in “The Best Lawyers in America” – an honor she has held for more than 30 years. In the community, she has served as President of the Riverside County Philharmonic, is one of the founders of the Riverside County High School Mock Trial program, and is a founding director for the Riverside Police Foundation. Her community service has been widely recognized, and recent honors include: • Riverside Community College District Alumnus of the Year, 2016 • Krieger Meritorious Service Award for outstanding community service (highest honor of the Riverside County Bar Association), 2016 • Citizen of the Year, conferred by the Greater Riverside Chambers of Commerce, 2014 She also was named Riverside County Woman of the Year by the California Legislature. Other honors she has received include an Honorary Life Member Award from the Fraternal Order of Police, Riverside Lodge 8; the NAACP Law & Justice Award; the YWCA Women of Achievement “Person Who Makes a Difference” Award; and the Gold Key Award from Soroptimist International of Riverside. Her work has been recognized by the President of the United States; the Governor of California; the Mayor of Riverside; the California State Assembly andState Senate; the Riverside County Board of Supervisors; and the Riverside City Council. She has four children and eight grandchildren.
