About Vincent Howard
Vincent D. Howard is a trial attorney with over nineteen years of experience. Since 2022, Vincent has been a partner at THE LAW OFFICES OF TED B. WACKER. Growing up in Clarksville, TN, just a half-hour from Nashville, Vincent was inspired by the adrenaline rush of the movie Top Gun and aspired to be a fighter pilot. However, his vision didn’t meet the requirements, leading him to enlist in the United States Army as a military police officer. He served honorably from 1988 to 1992, including during Operation Desert Storm. Highlights of his military career include providing security for Vice President Dan Quayle and Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney during their visits to Seoul, South Korea, where Vincent was stationed. After his military service, Vincent moved to Reno, Nevada, where he enrolled in the University of Nevada-Reno where he earned a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Ethnic Studies. Go Wolf Pack! Vincent initially aimed for a career with the CIA or FBI, but when his eyesight posed a hurdle, he pivoted to law. He enrolled in UNR’s Social-Psychology PhD program, where he taught sociology and social psychology classes before ultimately finding his path to Western State College of Law in Fullerton, California. Since earning his Juris Doctor, his commitment to justice extends beyond his clients to active participation in organizations that protect consumer rights and ensure access to justice. He has served in various leadership roles, including President of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association in 2016 and board member positions in several prominent legal organizations like the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) and the American Association for Justice (AAJ). Vincent was inducted into the Western State College of Law’s Alumni Hall of Fame and has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer for eleven consecutive years (2013-2024). Notably, he co-founded the CAOC Diversity Committee and received the San Francisco Minority Bar Coalition’s 2021 Unity Award, both highlighting his dedication to fostering diversity within the legal profession. His life experiences—from military service to academia and legal practice—have shaped his dedication to justice and client-focused representation.
