About Vanessa Angulo
As Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of CAVA Law, I oversee the firm’s strategic operations, financial structure, and process development to support efficient, scalable legal service delivery. My work focuses on aligning legal strategy with sound business and financial decision-making, including oversight of contracts, compliance frameworks, budgeting, reporting, and implementation of systems that enable legal teams to operate with consistency, accountability, and measurable performance standards. In my legal practice, I handle select matters involving bankruptcy, financial restructuring, real estate disputes, and debt-related litigation. I also provide outside general counsel support to clients navigating financial exposure, contractual risk, and operational challenges requiring thoughtful legal and strategic guidance. My work often involves evaluating financial information, assessing risk considerations, and advising on practical solutions where legal strategy and business realities intersect. I bring strong financial acumen developed through experience managing budgets, overseeing invoicing processes, reviewing financial documentation, and supporting restructuring strategies that require careful evaluation of liabilities, feasibility considerations, and operational constraints. Until September 15, 2025, I served as Program Manager on a contract supporting the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of General Counsel, where I coordinated multi-jurisdictional legal teams and oversaw reporting, budgeting, invoicing, and performance metrics in compliance with federal requirements. This role required disciplined operational oversight, structured communication, and adherence to rigorous performance standards within a highly regulated environment. I also developed workflow procedures and provided training to support personnel to ensure consistency and accuracy across assignments. I am admitted to practice in Florida, the District of Columbia, and all U.S. District Courts in Florida. My professional interests include financial restructuring, complex business matters, risk mitigation, and general counsel advisory work. I am particularly drawn to environments where legal insight, operational strategy, and financial understanding work together to support sustainable outcomes.
