About Tresa Patterson
Tresa, a Jackson native, is a partner at Heidelberg Patterson Welch Wright. Her litigation practice includes family law matters, commercial disputes, and medical malpractice defense. She handles litigation across Mississippi, in both state and federal courts. Tresa has tried divorce, custody, and negligence cases in over twenty-five Mississippi counties. She is proficient in the negotiation of premarital and marital agreements, as well as mediated conflict resolution. Tresa approaches each case with a focus on her client’s objectives and emphasizes practical, efficient solutions. Tresa graduated with honors from the University of Virginia. Prior to her work as a lawyer, Tresa worked as a reporter for The Los Angeles Times and as a high school history teacher and coach. In 2007, she graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law, where she served as executive editor of the Mississippi Law Journal. Tresa lives in Madison County, Mississippi, with her husband Eric and three children.
