About Thomas Carnes
I am a family and civil trial lawyer, collaborative divorce attorney, and mediator with twenty-eight years of legal experience within Texas. In 2008, I relocated my practice from Houston to the Texas Hill Country, and primarily serve Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Boerne and the surrounding areas. My principal office is in Fredericksburg, but I am routinely engaged in matters in Kerr, Gillespie, Kendall, Kimble, Bandera, Llano, Burnet, and Blanco Counties. I make myself available to meet with clients in each of these counties when it is inconvenient for clients to travel to our Fredericksburg office. My practice is focused on family law (including collaborative divorce), business litigation, real estate litigation, and consumer litigation (including debtor/creditor and deceptive trade practice cases). I also mediate the same types of civil cases for both parties represented by attorneys and those without attorneys (pro se litigants). In addition, my wife Beverly and I together own and run Agarita Creek Farms LP, a farming, ranching, and agri-tourism business in Fredericksburg, also in the Texas Hill Country. Specialties: Complex or unique family law cases, including alternative approaches to traditional litigation (collaborative, cooperative, arbitration, etc.); Business litigation; Real Estate litigation; Consumer litigation (including debtor/creditor and DTPA); probate litigation.
