Tara Eberline

As an employment defense attorney, I have the privilege of teaming with public and private employers to help them navigate the ever-changing field of employment law. I counsel employers on challenging workplace issues at all stages of the employment relationship. I partner with business owners and their human resources staff to help them make strategic and lawful decisions regarding applicants, current employees, and former employees. When we are unable to avoid litigation, I represent companies in state and federal court in all types of employment lawsuits. I have assisted companies in disputes and lawsuits alleging claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistle-blower violations, wage payment violations, First Amendment and other constitutional violations, and many others. Additionally, I have successfully represented both employers and employees in sensitive and often fast-moving disputes regarding non-compete agreements. In this ever-evolving area of the law, I team with my clients to analyze both the legal and practical factors at play and tailor my negotiation and litigation strategy to reach my clients’ business goals. Finally, I have taken a personal interest in how employers can best handle the new challenges and benefits provided by the use of social media in and out of the workplace. I enjoy speaking on the topic and have advised clients on how best to implement social media strategies in their workplaces.
