Susan Eandi

I am a Labor and Employment partner at Baker McKenzie, based in the San Francisco and Palo Alto offices. I lead the Global Employment and Labor Law Practice and Chair the Client Growth Advisory Board for North America. I previously served on the Firm’s Global Executive Committee, North America Regional Management Committee, and was Chair of the North America Employment and Labor Law Practice Group and a member of the Global Employment & Compensation Steering Committee. My legal practice is driven by curiosity, creativity, and a desire to spot trends, connect dots, and provide actionable guidance to in-house counsel. I represent dynamic and influential multinationals, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, on domestic and international employment law matters. I also have made it a practice to "pay it forward" through mentoring, modeling, training and developing others so that they are uniquely qualified to address the challenges faced by multinational employers. With decades of experience in global strategic workforce engagement and planning, I collaborate with corporate, tax, compensation, data privacy, and intellectual property colleagues to offer clients practical and holistic support. My understanding of the geopolitical forces challenging multinational employers allows me to help clients anticipate and respond to legal, physical, reputational, and economic risks. I regularly advise global companies on expanding into new jurisdictions and engaging talent, managing through major business change and supporting workforce issues in corporate transactions. On that note, a significant part of my practice involves leading on global employment law matters during cross-border mergers & acquisitions, separations, spin-offs, restructurings, and other major transactions, with a focus on post-acquisition integration and business continuity. Additionally, I advise and host roundtable discussions for global employment law leaders on issues that are trending and top of mind, from the evolving landscape of inclusion, diversity and equity, to managing workforce change, to building frameworks for AI tools in HR, to best practices for a people-centric approach to corporate transactions. I also speak regularly for organizations including the Association of Corporate Counsel, Tech GC, Silicon Valley AGC, the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession and World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
