About Susan Bird
As a litigation attorney and licensed registered nurse, I focus my practice in the areas of medical malpractice defense, nursing home defense, and administrative and licensing issues. I represent various health care providers, including long term care facilities, hospitals, physicians, physician practice groups, nurses, and other allied health professionals. Before becoming an attorney, I worked as a registered nurse for about twenty years with experience as an assistant director of nursing and risk manager in an acute care hospital and in various other practice settings, including the operating room, medical surgical units, home health care, skilled nursing units, infection control, utilization and quality management. My experience as a nurse allows me to provide unique insight into the situations faced by my clients.
