Steven Nakano

Steven Hideki Nakano is a career trial attorney, who has focused on recovery and positive life changes for his clients. Steve helped to start two recovery programs in Santa Clara County, Moriah House and Amicus House. He was the recipient of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Minority Access Committee "Unsung Hero's Award." He was among the very first attorneys to use animation technology to create a Forensic reconstruction of a shooting by using the bullet paths to establish self-defense resulting in an acquittal of his client in a murder case (People v. Shanandoha Garcia). Mr. Nakano is a graduate of the American Leadership Forum and has volunteered on many Non-profit boards. He is currently the President of the San Jose Parks Foundation and a senior advisor to Guardian Art Saga (Guardian Art; the art of the hero). Steve is also a Board Member of the Recovery Cafe in San Jose. Steve is a life-long musician and performs with his own jazz and classic rock band. He plays Cannonball Big Bell and Custom saxophones (soprano, alto, tenor and baritone), Buffet clarinet, Mia Open hole Offset G flute and congas; and he sings. Steve has recently been hired as a radio DJ (Programmer) at KKUP Cupertino Radio 91.5 FM and Streaming at KKUP.org playing jazz and jazz influenced music.
