Steven Ekker

Steve is an experienced Illinois attorney who currently concentrates his practice in all aspects of civil litigation, including personal injury, divorce and family law, real estate law, commercial litigation, partnership and shareholder disputes, trade secret litigation, injunctions and temporary restraining orders, contract disputes, wage, salary, commission and other employment disputes, construction litigation, and defamation. He also has gained valuable experience in the areas of insurance defense litigation, real estate law, personal injury defense, and appeals. He has successfully handled: jury and bench trials in state courts throughout Illinois; litigation, arbitration and mediation of commercial and personal injury disputes in both state and federal courts; and, state court appeals resulting in both published and non-published opinions. He has authored materials published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education and the DuPage County Bar Association Brief, and has presented numerous seminars for firm clients and potential clients on various legal issues. Other Experience: While in college, Steve interned for then Congressman, and subsequently Pennsylvania Governor and former Secretary of Homeland Security, Tom Ridge.
