He currently serves as a Reserve Captain with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Mr. Zand is a recipient of the Justice Bernard Jefferson Award of Excellence and has received commendations from the Governor of California, the Chair of the County of Los Angeles Board of Supervisors, the Mayor of the City of Los Angeles, and the Speaker of the California State Assembly.
