Stephen Carmody

Over twenty-five years of litigation and advisory experience in employment, labor and intellectual property law. In 1984, I received an undergraduate degree in accounting with honors from the University of Southern Mississippi. While an undergraduate I was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, Beta Alpha Psi, Beta Gamma Sigma, and the Gold Key Society and received the National Collegiate Athletic Association Post Graduate Scholarship. I have been inducted into the Southern Mississippi Athletic and Student Halls of Fame. I attended law school at Southern Methodist University and graduated in 1987. I began work in the Labor and Employment Section of the law firm of Kilpatrick & Cody in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1989, I returned to Mississippi and joined the Brunini firm. I am a member of the Arkansas, Georgia and Mississippi Bars. I am admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Arkansas, Mississippi and Georgia and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Eighth Circuits. I have successfully tried numerous cases in both state and federal courts in Mississippi. I have been recognized by Best Lawyers in America® in the fields of Employment Law-Management; Labor Law-Management; Copyright Law; Litigation-Intellectual Property; and, Trademark Law. I am active in local civic matters and have served on the Executive Council and Board of Mississippi Sports Foundation, as President of the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame Foundation, as President of the Jackson Touchdown Club, as a member of the Catholic Foundation and Director of its Bishop's Cup Charity Golf Tournament, as representative to the Board of Directors of the Country Club of Jackson, as a member of the Board of Directors, President and Secretary of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame, Central Mississippi Chapter, President, Secretary and Member of the Executive Committee of the Jackson Metropolitan YMCA, and Member of the University of Southern Mississippi Athletic Foundation.
