About Stephanie Weinstein
Clients rely on my responsiveness, creativity, dedication to their interests, and efficient and practical guidance. I concentrate my practice on labor and employment matters. I represent many companies, both large and small, in all aspects of traditional labor and employment law. I routinely handle labor arbitrations, contract negotiations with labor unions, and various workplace disputes, including discrimination and harassment cases. I also frequently counsel employers on labor relations and employment issues, emphasizing prevention and cost effectiveness, and regularly draft various employment-related agreements and documents. Prior to joining Marcus & Shapira in 2010, I clerked for the Honorable Max Baer, Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. I began my practice in 2005, representing management clients in the Pittsburgh office of Jackson Lewis. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2005 (J.D., Managing Editor of The Journal of Law and Commerce, Legal Writing Teaching Assistant, and Research Assistant) and the University of Michigan in 2001 (B.A. Economics, with distinction). Prior to attending law school, I worked at the Urban Institute, a non-partisan economic policy think tank in Washington, DC, on labor and social policy issues, including employment discrimination and labor shortages, authoring reports for the United States Congress, Department of Labor, Department of Health and Human Services, and Department of Education. I am a frequent lecturer on labor and employment topics and have authored articles published by law reviews, Pennsylvania Bar Institute, and National Business Institute.
