Attorney Stephanie Scarborough is the founder and Managing Partner of Scarborough Law LLC, with offices in Alpharetta, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida. She focuses her practice on business immigration and business law, offering strategic legal support that extends from company formation to immigration processing and long-term corporate counsel services. Ms. Scarborough is widely recognized for her work with foreign treaty traders and investors, guiding clients through the complexities of E-2 visa applications and setting a solid legal foundation for their U.S.-based businesses. Her services span pre- and post-immigration legal planning, ensuring companies are well-positioned for operational success and growth. She also works extensively with multinational corporations on L-1 intracompany transfers and employment-based green card sponsorship, handling everything from compliance reviews to long-range immigration strategy. As managing attorney, she leads a practice that supports contract management, negotiation, and drafting, and advises on critical compliance and risk management issues across a wide spectrum of business operations. Ms. Scarborough’s legal counsel includes in-depth knowledge of employment-based immigration, worksite enforcement, and employment law compliance. She advises on I-9 audits, E-Verify, employee discipline and termination, and broader HR legal concerns. She also collaborates with insurance professionals to evaluate corporate risk and ensure businesses have the proper coverage and safeguards in place. In addition, Ms. Scarborough has provided legal counsel on employee benefit plans, including 401(k), defined benefit pensions, stock options/RSUs, and non-qualified deferred compensation plans. She has also managed global contract processes, prepared and negotiated commercial agreements, and resolved trademark matters before the USPTO. Her practice includes ongoing legal analysis of legislative and regulatory changes affecting business immigration and compliance, enabling clients to anticipate and adapt to evolving legal landscapes. Before beginning her legal career, Ms. Scarborough served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve, including a deployment during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Her military experience instilled a deep sense of discipline, courage, and resilience—qualities she brings to every client relationship. Attorney Scarborough is a member of the New York State Bar, the State Bar of Georgia, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
