Snehal Patil

Snehal Patil is the founder of IndUS Counsel and practices as Corporate & Technology Counsel at the firm. He routinely counsels startups, venture-backed and Fortune 1000 companies, with a special focus on U.S.-India transactions. Mr. Patil has acted as outside general counsel to numerous Silicon Valley based technology companies in all of their corporate needs, including formation, corporate governance, financings, mergers and acquisitions, structuring foreign operations and investments, joint ventures, exit strategies and dissolutions. He also has in-depth experience negotiating large, complex outsourcing arrangements, as well as other agreements to acquire, develop, commercialize, protect and distribute technologies, both domestically and internationally. Mr. Patil’s law practice in India covered in-bound and out-bound transactions, litigation, and representation of foreign companies investing or doing business in India. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Patil served as a high-ranking federal officer in India's prestigious Civil Services, which handles policy formulation, regulation and administration of the executive and foreign affairs of India. Mr. Patil is well versed in legal and commercial issues arising in India transactions. He also has strong networks in the legal, business and government sectors in India that enable him to assist clients navigate the myriad challenges faced in doing business with and in India.
