Prior to her work at CILS, Ms. Quinlan dedicated nine years as an appellate attorney, representing indigent criminal defendants through all stages of appellate litigation. She also spent five years as a public defender in Riverside County, handling numerous cases and representing clients in dozens of jury trials. Her academic background includes a Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2003, where she received the Best Moot Court Brief award, a Dorothy M. Williams Fellowship, and a Gray, Cary, Ames and Frye Scholarship. She earned her BA with honors from UC Berkeley in 1996.
