Seth Borden

Before joining Amazon in 2021, I had represented management in labor and employment matters since 1998. My traditional labor law practice included areas such as labor relations, collective bargaining, response to union organizing, labor arbitration, and unfair labor practice investigations and litigation before the National Labor Relations Board. I also represented clients in federal and state court litigation involving EEO laws, ERISA, the FMLA, and Wage-Hour issues; as well as in administrative proceedings before the U.S. and N.Y. Departments of Labor, the N.Y. Attorney General & other government agencies. I previously helped employers develop comprehensive enterprise-wide labor relations strategies and negotiated collective-bargaining agreements for employers in the automotive and aerospace manufacturing, telecommunications, gaming, logistics and food service industries. I have been lead counsel in numerous arbitrations involving issues of discipline, termination, contract interpretation, discrimination and harassment, in the express freight delivery, food services, healthcare and movie exhibition industries. In addition to that practice, I wrote and spoke frequently to employer groups and trade associations on labor law issues, including the implications of employee use of social media; and, have testified before Congress regarding the NLRB's rulings on use of new technologies in the workplace.
