About Scott Shawver
Scott is a Partner at the Seattle office of GLP Attorneys. He received his Juris Doctor in May 1994 from the University of Oregon. At U of O he was in the top 15% of his class while working as a full-time intern for the United States District Court for the District of Oregon. In 2000, Scott began working as a senior staff attorney at an insurance defense firm, where he handled cases involving automobile accidents, product liability defects, premises liability claims, defamation claims and commercial litigation. He was named a 2005 Washington Rising Star by Washington Law & Politics. In May 2005, Scott started his own firm, specializing in personal injury and criminal defense. His personal injury practice included automobile and motorcycle accidents, trip and fall cases and product liability cases. His criminal defense practice included felonies and misdemeanors, including DUI defense, drug charges, sexual assault charges, and violent felonies. Scott joined GLP Attorneys in 2012 with extensive experience in personal injury work, as well as over a decade of hands-on courtroom advocacy. Scott is a founding member of GLP Attorneys Insurance Bad Faith Group. GLP Attorneys provides legal representation to individuals who have been injured though no fault of their own. Representative cases include insurance bad faith cases, serious automobile collisions, premises liability, nursing home abuse and neglect, wrongful death, and product liability cases. With over 30 years experience and 32 attorneys in 8 staffed offices in Washington State, the attorneys at GLP Attorneys are able to provide skilled and effective representation to ensure the best outcome for their clients.
