Scott Heck

Scott Heck is a Partner with the Employment Litigation Group where he regularly litigates in New Jersey and New York's state and federal courts regarding employment disputes and significant products liability claims. Scott also frequently appears before the New Jersey Appellate Division regarding employment related matters. Additional experience includes ERISA related claims, constructive/comparative trust applications, condominium association law, broker liability and minority shareholder oppression. Scott also drafts/updates employee handbooks and provides general employment counseling to clients including family owned businesses and international clients exceeding 45,000 employees. Scott has authored: Sleep Tight, Don’t Let the Bed Bugs Bite, Annual Conference of the FDCC (July 2011) (co-author) Lights Out For New Jersey: The August 2003 Blackout and the End of Electricity Regulation 29 Seton Hall Legis. J. 279, Seton Hall Legislative Bureau (2004). After graduating from law school, Scott was a law clerk to the Honorable Marlene Lynch Ford, J.S.C of the Superior Court of New Jersey. Scott is a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association and the Colgate University North Jersey Young Lawyers Association. He is also active with the Elks National Foundation and Red Bank Elks Lodge #233. Scott is also a member of the Red Bank Rent Leveling Board and previously served as President of a Condominium Association. Scott's cases of note are: -Assistance with trial verdict in Federal Court defeating multi-million dollar claim for products liability/wrongful death based on failure to warn and design defect. -Dismissal of employment related claims of retaliation based on CEPA and common law allegations w/ combined settlement demand of over million dollars. -Dismissal of claim for application of charitable trust for a New York property subject to sale by national non-profit organization.
