About Scot Putzig
Giving legal counsel and advice is a difficult practice, governed by a web of intersecting federal and state legislation and subject to constant change. Whether you are looking at legal compliance, negotiating a contract or real estate deal, or having to fight an unreasonable claim or lawsuit, you have to balance legal rights and obligations with the knowledge that business and life must go on. That is why I consider every client my most important client and give clients easy access, fast response times, brief, practical, and easy to understand legal advice, and point out and help clients manage legal risks before they become expensive problems. I received my Bachelor of Arts, with distinction, from the University of Michigan and J.D., with cum laude honors, from the Notre Dame Law School. While at Notre Dame, I was an editor with the Journal of Legislation and clerked for the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in Flint, MI, and the Michigan Supreme Court in Lansing, MI. After graduating from Notre Dame Law School, I clerked with the Michigan Court of Appeals in Grand Rapids, MI. I focus on business, estate planning real estate, employment law for businesses, individuals, families in the Great Lakes Bay Region and throughout Michigan and the United States.
