Sarah Robertson

A lifelong student of human nature, I never cease to be amazed by how the workplace functions. In more than 25 years specializing in employment law in California, I have helped employers navigate legal requirements and practical realities in order to optimize employee performance. I counsel employers on employee discipline and termination issues, leaves of absence, policymaking, and the prevention of unlawful discrimination and harassment. When litigation arises, I assist employers in defending claims and, in appropriate cases, work to position litigated matters for resolution through mediation. The best part of my job is collaborating with Human Resources professionals and company owners. I'm thrilled to be teaching a class for business professionals through my alma mater, Tulane Law School. Tulane has a new degree program called a Masters of Jurisprudence in Labor and Employment Law. I designed and am now teaching an online class on employee medical leaves of absence. Not only do I get to meet remarkable students, I get to teach alongside the professors who taught labor and employment law to me!
