Associate attorney with the Irvine office of Littler Mendelson. Member of Littler's COVID-19 task force, providing real time advice and counsel on cutting edge legal issues. Primary practice area of employment defense, with an emphasis in defending against allegations of: wrongful termination; discrimination; harassment; retaliation; failure to accommodate and failure to engage in the interactive process; FMLA, CFRA, and PDL claims; and individual, representative, and class action wage and hour claims. Additional emphasis in general consulting and counseling regarding compliance with state and federal employment laws. Experience second-chairing a trial to a complete defense verdict in LA County Superior Court, 2017 (non-employment case) and successfully writing and arguing a Motion in Limine to exclude plaintiff's expert witnesses in LA County Superior Court, 2019 (employment case). Additional experience drafting trial motions, including Motions to Exclude (LA County Superior Court, 2021, employment case), motions for directed verdict, and motions for judgment not withstanding verdict. Extensive experience taking and defending depositions, preparing dispositive motions including motions for summary judgment and/or summary adjudication, and preparing for both trial and arbitration.
