My background in law, banking and businesses in five other verticals helps me craft creative, strategic solutions to complex business and real estate transactions, including work outs. My involvement with Public-Private Partnerships predates the 'P3' moniker. The Biltmore Hotel, Miami's Freedom Tower, the Hyatt Convention Center, downtown Miami's City National Bank tower and some of the private development on the Port of Miami are among the signature P3 projects I worked on early in my career. I've developed a comprehensive understanding of real estate, banking, corporate and government relations which enables me to provide my clients with multifaceted legal advice. These skills also help me do work-outs on both business and real estate transactions. It's also enabled me to work creatively to help clients creating developments to address the housing affordability crisis that is impacting Florida. I've been committed to optimizing companies and advancing communities with vision and leadership for over three decades—working across the for-profit, nonprofit, and public sectors. With a head for business and a heart for influencing potential, I've activated diverse employees, boards, and volunteers to create solutions to a wide range of business and community issues. My strength lies in quickly assimilating what I hear from stakeholders and collaborating on the strategies and resources needed to affect change and optimize organizations. My corporate "C-Suite" experience for the last two decades with public and private corporations and NGOs honed my business operational skills. I understand the real world implications of complex business decisions and am able to frame legal advice accordingly. My experience as the head of a government agency allows me to approach government relations from the unique perspective of someone that understands the environment in which government leaders must do their job. I enjoy finding the solutions for complex business problems.
