Sandra Kahn

Sandy advises clients on a variety of labor and employment issues such as handling discharges, protecting intellectual property, investigating harassment charges, resolving compensation disputes, and training personnel, and employment law issues in mergers & acquisitions, among others. She represents clients before state and federal courts and agencies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination and the National Labor Relations Board. Sandy also advocates for clients in alternative dispute resolution settings including mediation and arbitration. Additionally, she has presented workshops for employers on a variety of topics concerning the employment relationship. An employment law specialist for over 20 years, Sandy regularly counsels employers on all aspects of employment law, from managing the hiring process to discipline and discharge, drafting employment agreements and employee handbooks to advice on wage and hour disputes, and conducting harassment investigations to assuring compliance with state and federal employment laws. Sandy is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP-US). Her privacy and data security practice includes counseling clients as to compliance with U.S. federal and state laws, and developing privacy policies, written information security programs and information management best practices. Sandy also advises clients on the new EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. Prior to joining MBBP, Sandy was Of Counsel at Nixon Peabody LLP and was previously an employment law associate at Bingham McCutchen LLP, where she specialized in management-side employment law.
