Sally Elkington

She and two distinguished colleagues do a yearly day long webinar on Chapter 7 bankruptcy by PLI. Ms. Elkington has been very active in providing pro bono services to financially marginalized individuals as well as participating and partnering with the Alameda Bar Association to provide such services. Ms. Elkington served as a board president on the Alameda County Bar Association (ACBA) and board member for the Volunteer Legal Services Corporation (VLSC). Ms. Elkington was a Commissioner on the Judicial Nomination Evaluation Commission (JNE commission) of the California State Bar. The JNE Commission vets all potential appointed Judges in California. Her term of service was three years. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ms. Elkington taught at San Francisco State College, the Academy of Art, and the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM). Her teaching career spanned over 10 years. Prior to teaching, Ms. Elkington worked in the world of Retail Operations. She was the Director of Security 0perations at a major fashion retail store. She then became Director of Operations and participated in the opening of several branch stores throughout Norther California. Prior to leaving retail to begin teaching, she was an Assistant Store Manager, managing all of the retail operations of a major retail branch.
