Roland Cross

Rob Cross is a partner at the Springfield, Illinois, law firm, Brown, Hay & Stephens, LLP. He has a B.A. from Denison University (1983); an M.A. (1989) and Ph.D. (1998) from University of Missouri-Columbia; and a J.D. from St. Louis University (2001). He focuses his practice on education law, employment and labor law, and juvenile/family law. Rob represents school districts and handles employment law matters for a wide variety of public and private entities. He has represented several worker's compensation pools and has managed collective bargaining negotiations for his clients. He is currently the Secretary of the Illinois State Bar Association's Education Law Council. In 2011, he was awarded the Joseph Bartylak Award as Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation.
