Roger Thon

Roger joined Mizerowski Thon & Parker, P.C. in March 2011 and was named partner in 2014. He focuses much of his practice on insurance defense litigation, representing insurers and their insureds in personal injury defense, coverage disputes, and subrogation matters. In 2014, Mr. Thon was named a Michigan Rising Star by Super Lawyers, a distinction reserved to the top 2.5 percent of Michigan attorneys under the age of 40. Over the years, Mr. Thon has received several Defense verdicts in jury trials across the state. Mr. Thon began his legal career practicing in a prominent plaintiff litigation firm, becoming well versed in Michigan’s first and third party auto laws. This experience offers his current clients a unique perspective in the litigation process, in addition to providing Alternative Dispute Resolution Services for litigants, serving as a Case Evaluator, Facilitative Mediator, and Arbitrator. Since 2019, Mr. Thon has worked extensively with both claimants and insurers in resolving litigated claims without the costs or risks inherent in jury trials. Mr. Thon graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, serving as an associate editor of the UDM Law Review and as a national competitor for the law school’s Moot Court Board of Advocates. Mr. Thon has served as a guest lecturer at his alma mater, lecturing students on Michigan's No Fault Act, in addition to serving as a judge for the law school's mock trial competitions.
