Robin Becker

Robin devotes her practice to small/closely held business matters, partner/owner disputes, family business, and family/divorce mediation and law. She handles all aspects of these situations, including financial, employment, customer/client oriented, relationship driven, and more personalized issues that vary from client to client. She believes that, above all else, thinking outside the box is the key to her success. Finding creative solutions is her specialty. A graduate of Tufts University and Chicago-Kent College of Law, Robin earned her training in mediation from Columbia College, the Center for Conflict Resolution, the United States Postal Service, and DePaul University's Family Mediation program. Robin previously served on the Professional Development Committee and chaired the Programming Committee for the Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution. She has assisted in the training of family law mediators through DePaul University. Additionally, Robin formerly was a financial adviser for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. As such and an owner of her own business, she brings a great deal of business acumen and financial savvy to her clients. Robin has dedicated herself to heightening the public's awareness of mediation and how that process works. She actively seeks opportunities to share her insights about mediation and the legal process. In her presentations, she creatively and interactively highlights the advantages and disadvantages of each process. She has spoken to various organizations, written articles, and been interviewed locally and nationally, in magazines and on television. Today's Chicago Woman Magazine previously named Robin as one of 100 women in Chicago "making a difference." Robin continues to strive to do just that.
