Robert Strickland

I am a partner and co-founder of the Strickland Law Group. My practice focuses on personal injury, employment, consumer protection, and family law matters. The establishment of this firm was the culmination of a life long dream and years of experience in the legal world. My previous experience includes: Working for the California Department of Insurance San Francisco Division; Managing the Southern California offices of consumer protection firm Brayton Purcell; and returning to San Francisco to practice employment law including claims for discrimination, retaliation, disability, and wage and hour compliance. With a desire to provide excellent legal work in a local community, my wife and I returned to her hometown of Petaluma and formed Strickland Law Group. We are thrilled to serve the legal needs of this community in our respective practice areas. I am admitted to practice law in all courts in the State of California, as well as the Northern, Eastern, and Central District Federal Courts. I am also admitted to practice and argue before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. When away from the office, I enjoy spending time with family, playing music (guitar, piano, and attempts at the banjo), hiking, and Netflix. Career Highlights and Professional Accomplishments: *Successfully arguing and winning before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals the defense of a whistleblower action. *Drafting and obtaining a published 9th Circuit Court of Appeals decision in the matter of Ambat v. City and County of San Francisco. *Designated as class counsel by the California Superior Court in litigation affecting hundreds of workers *Recognized for achievement by the California Employment Lawyers Association Gala 2014.
