Robert Iwrey

Robert is a founding shareholder of The Health Law Partners, P.C. He graduated with High Distinction from the University of Michigan in 1988. While at the U of M, he was an Executive Member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society and was a member of the Golden Key National Honor society. In 1993, he earned his J.D. at Wayne State University Law School, where he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Advanced Legal Writing and was an award-winning member of Moot Court. Rob has been a practicing litigator since 1993. He has been practicing healthcare transactional law since 1999. Rob provides counsel in all areas of healthcare law, including but not limited to licensure, DEA investigations, staff privileges, employment and health related contracts, physician practice issues, third-party payor issues, government healthcare investigations and audit defense. Rob was admitted to the MI Bar & the U.S. District Court Eastern District of MI in 1993. He was also admitted to the U.S. District Court Western District of MI in 2003, and to the NY Bar in 2009. He is a member of the State Bar of MI (Member, Health Care Law Section), the State Bar of NY (Member, Health Law Section), the American Health Lawyer's Association, American Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Association. Rob was elected by his peers to serve on the governing board of the State Bar of MI Health Care Law Section, Council from 2005 to 2011, where he served two consecutive terms as its Treasurer and chaired its Pro–Bono Work Group. In 2016, he was awarded the MHCLS Fellow designation in recognition of his "Sustained, Outstanding Contributions to the Health Care Law Section. In addition, Rob has served on and chaired the Oakland County Medical –Legal Committee, served on and co–chaired the State Bar of MI Health Care Law Section Website Committee, and has served on and chaired the Technology Subcommittee of the Health Care Law Section's Substantive Law Committee. Rob has been awarded the distinguished AV rating by Martindale–Hubbell (the highest rating available) for every consecutive year since 2004 in recognition of his high level of skill and integrity, honored by dbusiness Magazine as a Top Lawyer in Health Care/Corporate Compliance for 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016 - 2022, named as a Super Lawyer for Health Care Law in MI from 2010-2020, named as a 2015 - 2021 Top Rated Lawyer in Health Care Law by ALM Legal Leaders, and has maintained a "Superb" rating by Avvo since 2011. He has also been recognized as an AHLA Pro Bono Champion in 2010 - 2011 and 2014.
