Richardson Griswold

Griswold Receivers focuses on receiverships. Attorney Richardson “Red” Griswold is commonly appointed by courts as a Receiver or Partition Referee. Mr. Griswold has been appointed over 265 times by 30 courts across the region. He acts as a health and safety receiver, rents and profits receiver, cannabis business receiver, post-judgment receiver and partition referee. He was the 2019 President of the California Receivers Forum. EXPERIENCE Prior to founding Griswold Receivers, Mr. Griswold sharpened his legal skills at several Southern California law firms focusing on real estate law, employment law and business litigation, as well as in the legal departments of the San Diego Padres and The Upper Deck Company. He also previously served as Vice President of a commercial and residential property management company, at the time ranked 15th largest in the state of California. EDUCATION & MEMBERSHIP Mr. Griswold is a member of the California State Bar and licensed to practice law in all California state courts, as well as the United States District Courts in the Southern District, Central District, and Eastern District of California. Mr. Griswold earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis and his law degree, magna cum laude, from California Western School of Law in San Diego. Mr. Griswold is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker. Mr. Griswold was the 2019 Chair/President of the California Receivers Forum, as well as long-time Board Member for the local San Diego Chapter.
