About Richard Vitarelli
Serve as National Labor Relations Practice Group Co-Leader, M&A /Transactional Services Group Co-Leader, and member of the Board of Directors for a national workplace law firm. Management-only labor law practice supports employers in developing and implementing national and systemwide labor relations, collective bargaining and preventive strategies for unionized and non-union workforces throughout the US. We represent and defend employers covered by the National Labor Relations Act, Railway Labor Act and similar state labor laws in court, administrative proceedings and arbitration. Transactional workplace law services team coordinates and oversees legal diligence, negotiation of definitive agreements and pre- and post-transaction planning, integration and structuring. Services cover a wide range of workplace law issues in US and cross-border M&A transactions, as well as corporate restructuring engagements, often in conjunction with international corporate law firms. Workplace law capabilities include traditional labor law services, federal, state and local employment law, employee benefits, immigration, OSHA/MSHA, wage/hour, prevailing wage, government contract compliance, WARN, affirmative action, pay equity and data privacy. Transactional labor law services include negotiating and advising on national, local and specialty labor agreements, project labor agreements, neutrality and labor peace agreements, and development of preventive programs, employer training, counter-organizing and counseling employers in corporate campaigns/crisis communications. Services also include counseling employees on multi-employer benefit and Taft-Hartley Fund matters, including multi-employer pension withdrawal liability. Clients include strategic companies, investors, public-private partnerships, multi-employer associations and employers in health care, construction, manufacturing, transit, energy (including oil, gas and renewable energy), airline, government and service industries.
