About Richard Spohn
My status as a Chambers-recognized, preeminent health care lawyer is the culmination of a purposely diversified professional path. This included 30+ years in private practice at the same law firm, and also top management California government experience; university research, program management and teaching (domestic and overseas); and various non-profit leadership and development positions.Thus I brought distinctly broad, deep and mature perspective and judgment to client challenges and needs. My primary foci were regulatory relations, transactions, and the needs of complex health care delivery systems. I thrive on the aesthetics of sophisticated health care structures.I was pleased to be recognized (twelfth time) in the 2019 Chambers USA guide of leading lawyers and law firms as: "an excellent healthcare attorney well versed in history, rules and regulations in California," according to clients.
