Richard Rassel

In my legal practice, I assist clients in navigating business and legal issues in the courtroom and at the negotiating table. My clients range from individuals and small companies to well-known multinationals, private and public, and I represent them in a variety of disputes involving contract, real estate, securities, zoning and land use, franchise, fraud, and white-collar litigation. At the same time, I’ve successfully completed a host of corporate M&A, commercial, land acquisition and development, and other real property transactions. There’s a time to stand your ground and a time for consensus, but regardless of the situation, my goal is the same – eliminate legal obstacles so that clients can move their businesses forward. For more than 21 years, I’ve been proud to practice with Williams, Williams, Rattner & Plunkett, an environment that has allowed me to collaborate with talented colleagues and service the needs of a growing number of business clients in Michigan and across the country. My passion for business has also led me to participate on a corporate board, to participate on executive committees with area charities and service organizations, and to serve as president of the Brother Rice Business Alliance, a network of business owners and executives committed to building and contributing to our local economy. I am also an active member in state and local bar associations, and have presented on important legal issues to my colleagues within the legal community.
