Richard D. Abrams, Esq. -- Mr. Abrams is the former Managing Partner of his firm’s Wilmington, Delaware office. His practice focuses on Premises Liability, Product Liability, Insurance Litigation, Construction Defect and Personal Injury claims. Mr. Abrams has enjoyed over thirty years experience trying and defending cases, including dozens of slip & fall claims all resulting in defense verdicts. Mr. Abrams represents supermarket chains, restaurants, shopping malls, and other retail establishments in Delaware, along with non-retail commercial companies, both insured and self-insured. He lectures regularly on premises liability to attorneys, insurance companies, adjusters, and to management and employees of retail and non-retail companies. Mr. Abrams has lectured for continuing legal education programs and private seminars in Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, and has lectured nationally via continuing legal education programs presented over the internet. Mr. Abrams is an AV rated attorney, and recipient of Martindale Hubble's Client Distinction Award with a perfect score of 5. He is a member of the Top 1% of America’s Most Honored Professionals. Mr. Abrams is a Certified Delaware Superior Court Mediator, former Chairman of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Delaware Bar Association, and has served as an editor for A.M. Best's Directories of Recommended Insurance Attorneys and Adjusters, and served as an editor on the Delaware Superior Court's Rules Committee. Mr. Abrams graduated from George Washington University and received his law degree Cum Laude from Widener University School of Law.
