My life purpose is helping others and one of the ways I've been able to do that is through practicing law in Florida for the past 24 years as a member of the Florida Bar in good standing. Prior to practicing law I spent 3 years as an insurance claims specialist. In the past I have worked primarily as an insurance defense attorney wherein I either handled solely or supervised the work in thousands of personal injury, worker's compensation, products liability, professional liability (primarily legal malpractice), slip and fall, subrogation, collection , social security, ERISA and a variety of other cases throughout the state of Florida. As the Managing Trial Attorney for CNA Insurance Company for 14 years, I was responsible for managing an office of 5 attorneys, 4 legal secretaries and 2 paralegals. I was chosen by CNA to start the first Staff Counsel office in Orlando and I was given a territory that covered all of central Florida including the east and west coasts and all of north Florida. When I was promoted to MTA one year later I had built up a personal caseload of 209 cases and the office grew substantially especially in the Tampa, St. Pete and Clearwater areas which enabled CNA to build another Staff Counsel office in Tampa in 2004. During my time as MTA for CNA I continued to handle a very substantial caseload in addition to my supervision and management of the office personnel along with the responsibility to review every case that came into my office. Finally, I have a great deal of successful trial experience including jury trial experience. Yet, my proudest achievements include those that I have achieved as a Christian father of 3 Christian children and a husband to one Christian woman for 32 years!
