Rebecca Halberg

I represent injured workers across Georgia in workers’ compensation claims, drawing on nearly two decades of experience on both the defense and plaintiff sides of the practice in Georgia and South Carolina. My career began on the defense side of workers' compensation law, representing employers and insurance companies in workplace injury claims. In 2016, I joined a large plaintiffs' firm, where I shifted my focus to representing injured workers. In 2019, I joined Stottlemyer & Associates in Atlanta and became a partner, continuing to advocate for injured workers throughout Georgia. During my time there, I served as co-counsel for the claimant in the published Georgia Court of Appeals decision Heaton Erecting, Inc. v. Gierum, which addressed Georgia's "concurrent dissimilar" employment doctrine. In 2026, I founded Halberg Law Firm, a plaintiff-focused workers' compensation practice based in Atlanta. I represent injured employees throughout Georgia in claims involving medical benefits, income benefits, and serious workplace injuries and work-related deaths. I regularly speak to attorneys and professional organizations about workers' compensation law, practice development, and emerging technologies impacting the legal profession. Having spent years representing employers and insurers, I bring a unique perspective to every case. That experience provides valuable insight into how claims are evaluated, defended, and litigated, allowing me to advocate effectively for injured workers navigating the complex workers' compensation system.
