Rachel Scatizzi

Rachel Thompson is a founding partner of Minerva Law in San Diego, California. Her practice emphasizes family law, with a focus on contested custody and paternity matters and high asset dissolution cases. Rachel also is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois. She is certified as a family law specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Rachel received her Bachelor of Journalism degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Missouri in 2001 and her Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis in 2005. Rachel was also a founding partner at Smith & Scatizzi, LLP from 2013 to 2023. Prior to starting her own firm, Rachel was an associate at Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek in San Diego and at Carmody MacDonald in St. Louis, Missouri.
