During his tenure, he gained extensive experience handling various matters in Juvenile, Magistrate, State, and Superior Courts, and successfully argued cases before the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
Following his service with Rockdale County, Mr. Baig spent four years with DeKalb County government, where he served as Chief Assistant Solicitor and Solicitor General, Pro Tempore. His responsibilities there included employment law matters, appeals, media/public information, open records requests, case transfers, mental health court, and bond issues. In 2004, Mr. Baig returned to Rockdale to establish and manage M. Qader A. Baig & Associates, LLC. In 2009, he was appointed General Counsel for Rockdale County, advising on all legal matters facing the County, including drafting and analyzing policies, resolutions, and contracts, providing legal counsel for zoning, planning, tax appeals, and employment issues, and prosecuting County ordinance violations.
