Client Success Stories: Trip & Fall Accident in Supermarket: Recovery for woman's knee injury. Attorney Peter L. Johnston represents a Philadelphia woman who was injured after she tripped and fell over an uneven supermarket display. Woman suffered a torn meniscus in her knee which did not require surgery. Insurance company fiercely defended the matter. However, at a pretrial conference, Mr. Johnston ultimately obtained for his client a $46,000.00 settlement, a vastly significant increase from the insurer’s original offer of settlement. (July 2014) *Car Accident: Represented the plaintiffs (driver and passenger) who were rear-ended in Delaware County by another driver who was at fault for driving too fast. The clients: driver had full tort insurance and the passenger, who suffered a herniated disc, had limited tort. I settled on behalf of the plaintiffs for $15,000.00 and $20,000.00, respectively. Typically, the client with full tort will receive a larger sum than one with limited tort.
