About Me: I entered the law as a workers’ rights attorney because I’ve seen what happens when people do everything right — work hard, show up, stay loyal — and still don’t get what they’re owed. Wages go unpaid. Overtime disappears. Power imbalances silence good people who are just trying to support themselves and their families. That never sat right with me. So I built my legal career around one simple belief:  People deserve fairness, dignity, and financial security — not just in theory, but in real life. For most of my career as an attorney, I’ve focused on advocating for employees — helping individuals recover unpaid and underpaid wages, holding employers accountable, and making sure working people aren’t forced to choose between speaking up and staying afloat. I created a workers’ rights firm grounded in practical, compassionate advocacy because justice should feel accessible, not intimidating. Over time, I’ve also seen something just as important. Recovering unpaid compensation is only part of the story. The firm I co-founded with my partner has an overarching theme of helping individuals make good decisions for themselves and their families, including empowering people to enforce the rights they already have. The firm does things differently than other law firms across the board.  In the New Leaf Family part of the firm, we focus on the future, not the fight. We start the process off working with our clients to determine what their end goals are so that we can build our efforts toward those ends, and we got rid of the hourly billing model in favor of one that is predictable and allows clients a much better chance of seeing their situation through to those goals they are after. Workers’ rights, family law, and wealth protection aren’t separate conversations — they’re deeply connected. Whether I’m helping someone reclaim unpaid wages or collaborating with trusted estate and asset protection attorneys to safeguard what they’ve earned, my goal is the same:  To give people clarity, confidence, and control over their financial lives. This work is about more than law. It’s about people — their livelihoods, their families, and their futures.
