Paul Schimley

Paul F. Schimley leads Schimley Althouse's Employment Practices Department. Mr. Schimley concentrates his practice on employment and labor law with an emphasis on defense of wrongful termination, discrimination and harassment claims. He handles major litigation and administrative proceedings and counsels employers with regard to employment practices. He has also addressed numerous employer groups on relevant legal topics, including the mandated sexual harassment training under Government Code Section 12950.1. A native of Niagara Falls, New York, Mr. Schimley attended Niagara University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Political Science. He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego. He has received an AV® Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review rating, reflecting the height of professional excellence and recognition for the highest levels of skill and integrity. Mr. Schimley is licensed to practice before all California state courts as well as the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Southern, Central, Eastern and Northern Districts of the United States District Court for the State of California. He is a member of the Labor and Employment sections of both the California and Los Angeles County Bar Associations. He serves as a volunteer arbitrator on the Los Angeles County Bar’s fee dispute arbitration panel.
