My experience includes advising on employment matters such as non-compete/non-solicitation and severance agreements, reductions in force in Illinois, drug testing of employees in Illinois, and short-term disability and FMLA leave in Illinois. I also have extensive litigation experience including 1st and 2nd chair jury trials, binding and non-binding arbitrations, administrative agency matters (e.g. Illinois Human Rights Commission, NLRB, Illinois Department of Labor, EEOC, Cook County Commission on Human Rights, OSHA, Illinois Department of Income Security), I have handled matters in numerous counties (20) throughout the State of Illinois, and multiple Federal District Courts. I have experience litigating in numerous substantive areas of employment law (e.g., IHRA, Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, FLSA), and other substantive areas of law (e.g. breach of contract, defense of professionals - architects, engineers, accountants, insurance brokers and real estate agents, products liability, personal injury, construction, auto accidents, medical malpractice wrongful death, BIPA class action defense, and misappropriation of trade secrets). I am an excellent strategic thinker who works with clients to position complex matters to a successful resolution. I have worked with diverse clients, from individuals to Fortune 500 companies, have a demonstrated ability to learn new subjects, while achieving excellent results for my clients.
