Patrick Korody

Director and Attorney at Korody Law, P.A., a law firm dedicated to providing superior legal services in complex cases. Mr. Korody and his team represent clients facing military law and national security issues worldwide. Mr. Korody practices criminal defense and capital defense in Florida and represents clients facing federal criminal charges. As a Navy JAG who spent ten years on active duty, Mr. Korody served as lead counsel in more than 150 courts-martial involving felony and misdemeanor offenses under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. He handled complex cases involving DNA, computer forensics, forensic toxicology, forensic crash investigations, and forensic psychiatry. He represented the United States and individual clients in more than 100 administrative law proceedings including discharge boards, security clearance hearings, and FAA revocation hearings. Mr. Korody supervised and trained more than 30 attorneys serving as military prosecutors, defense counsel, and crime victims' rights attorney and was routinely invited to train other military attorneys on criminal procedure and trial strategy. Mr. Korody served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in federal magistrate court prosecuting misdemeanor offenses. Mr. Korody has significant experience working with foreign governments in deployed environments. He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and embarked on-board a destroyer in support of NATO exercises. He has handled sensitive military justice cases involving host nation witnesses and victims. In June 2009, Mr. Korody was selected by the Judge Advocate General of the Navy to specialize in military justice. In 2012, Mr. Korody selected for promotion to Lieutenant Commander. Mr. Korody left active duty in September 2015 and currently serves in the Navy Reserve as an Executive Officer. Prior to joining the Navy, Mr. Korody served as a student prosecutor in Delaware County, a legal intern at NCIS, and a summer clerk at the national law firm of Baker Hostetler.
